Kim is a Chartered Accountant (SA) with 14 years of experience in providing training and accounting opinions/ advice on the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
She is a Partner in the Technical Department of KPMG in South Africa.
Kim represents the FRSC on the Accounting Standards Advisory Forum (ASAF), which is a technical advisory body to the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).
Kim also represents the FRSC on the IASB's Emerging Economies Group which discusses IFRS issues and challenges for emerging economies.
She is a member of the Accounting Practices Committee (APC) of The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
The APC plays an active role in standard setting in South Africa and in commenting on the IASB and the IFRS Interpretations Committee draft pronouncements.
Kim plays an active role on the APC chairing many of the sub-committees.
Kim is a member of the IASB's Working Group on Employee Benefits.She is also a member of KPMG's Global IFRS Panel,
a member of KPMG's Global Employee Benefits Topic Team and the vice-chair of KPMG's Global Presentation Topic Team.
Kim was previously a director of the Accounting Standards Board, which is responsible for issuing accounting standards for the public sector in South Africa.
