on how it cooperates with other enterprises and role-players in order to compete in
a global marketplace. This cooperation might include joint marketing, sharing of
production capacity, or collectively addressing key issues inhibiting the growth
of an industry more widely.
Recognising Excellence
In celebrating those enterprises and organisations that have recognised the need to
collaborate and build partnerships, the dti Business Awards are seeking applicants
that have responded in the following ways:
Developing formal or informal networks and partnerships
Developing concrete programmes around which to cooperate
Ensuring that these programmes have positive economic results
for members of the network and for the economy more widely
Taking steps to address the conflicts that may arise between different
parties that have differing and sometimes competitive interests while needing
to cooperate
