A group of South Sudanese businesspeople who are in South Africa on a mission to woo investors to the world?s youngest country are optimistic that their message will touch the right cord amongst the local business community.  The visit of the six-member group is funded by the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti). It is part of the department?s efforts to increase trade and investments between South Africa and South Sudan.

PE Company to Seek Market in Mozambique

An Eastern Cape company is on a mission to search for an export market for its footwear products in Mozambique.  Fred Footwear, which is based in Port Elizabeth, is one of the 20 businesses that will showcase their products and services at a Maputo international trade exhibition commonly known as FACIM. The week-long exhibition runs from 27 August-3 September 2017. The companies have received financial assistance from the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) to participate in the popular fair with the aim of helping them find an export market in Mozambique and neighbouring countries.

African Governments Should Create Environment for Business to Invest in Infrastructure

The Minister of Finance in Zambia, Mr Felix Mutati says African governments should create a conducive environment in their respective countries that will generate appetite among the private sector to invest in infrastructure projects in the continent. Minister Mutati was speaking at the two-day Infrastructure Africa Business Forum that started in Sandon today. One of the objectives of the Forum is to encourage public-private partnerships in the development of world-class infrastructure in Africa.
