Reduction in the customs duty on imported products

| | The purpose of this offering is to reduce costs on imported products and increased global competitiveness. The process involves the following steps:
- Acknowledgement of receipt and registration
- Assessment of completeness and correctness
- Prepare submission for ITAC consideration
- Consideration by ITAC
- Prepare notice of application for publication in Government Gazette
- Publication in Government Gazette
- Receive objections and refer to applicant for comment
- Prepare final submission to ITAC containing all relevant information
- Compile ITAC Report
- Submit Report to ITAC Chief Commissioner for signature
- Submit Report to Minister of Trade and Industry
- Implementation by SARS of ITAC 's recommendations by way of amendment to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964.
