Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office (CIPRO)
Mission Statement
The Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office (CIPRO) is
the official custodian of the legal status of companies, close corporations,
co-operatives and Intellectual Property (IP) rights, the disclosure of such
information to stakeholders and dispute resolution on infringements to these
rights.
Overview
CIPRO’s broad strategy is to mould the organisation into a world-class entity
within the next 3 (three) years, which would provide an effective and enabling
legal and administrative framework for enterprises and IP, in support of the
national growth objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Strategic Goals
- Establish and entrench enterprise governance;
- Provide value-added, effective and efficient service delivery; and
- Establish and ensure broad geographical access to CIPRO services.
