The Department of Trade and Industry is responsible for the South African Technical Infrastructure which
includes metrology, standardisation and accreditation.
20 May 2008 is World Metrology Day, the theme for 2008 is Metrology in Sport.
Today metrology matters more than ever in sports as it provides precise measurement.
